We are a youth sports and community organization built on one belief. Every young person deserves access to sports, creativity, and the people who will invest in their potential.
Home Court Canada Inc. was founded in Ontario, Canada with a simple but powerful purpose: to create spaces where young people can grow through sports, storytelling, and community investment.
Across three divisions, Film & Media, Golf & Fundraising, and Sports Events, we design programs and experiences that go beyond the scoreboard. We develop storytellers, community investors, and athletes. Sports is our common ground. Growth is our goal.
Every program we build and every young person we reach is a step forward. This is home court. And everyone belongs here.
Home Court Canada did not come from a boardroom. It came from a coach.
Phil Edwards is a Leadership Educator with over 30 years of coaching experience, 15 years in post-secondary education, and 20 years as a foster parent. He writes and speaks on trauma-informed leadership, specialized development, and the transformative power of investing in people.
As a coach, Phil has always believed that the most important thing you can do for a young person is show up for them before they know how to show up for themselves. That belief has shaped everything he has built.
An active community contributor and Out of Bounds Board Member, Phil has never left the neighbourhood that raised him. He is a proud father of two sons and continues to train athletes both locally in Ontario and internationally in Jamaica.
Home Court Canada is the formal expression of that lifelong commitment. What started as a passion for developing athletes has grown into a multi-division community organization built around sports, creativity, and the long-term growth of young people across Ontario.
Phil Edwards, Founder of Home Court Canada Inc. Coach. Trainer. Mentor.
We have worked with youth across Ontario who had no pathway into organized sport or creative programs. We build that pathway.
Our programs measure success by what young people do after they leave us, not just while they are with us.
Every event, every tournament, every film screening puts money and attention back into the communities that need it most.
